The Rubber Jellyfish Documentary Screenings in Adelaide

Posted by Jonathan Hart on 28th Nov 2018

On October 26 we hosted the Adelaide premiere of the balloon's documentary Rubber Jellyfish.

It was a fabulous night for such a thought-provoking film - which leaves audience members with the belief that everyone's choices matter a great deal in the protection of the environment.

We were joined by Caroline of Sea Shepard Marine Debris Team SA who also had an info stall inside at the front of the cinema.

A big shout out to Dean and his team from Wallis Noarlunga Cinemas who helped make the night such a success.

The movie, which features us as a party store refusing to sell balloons, concluded with a Q & A with the film's director Carly Wilson and Balloons Blow founders Mary and Danielle.

Bunting was given out to the audience members who participated and lots of ideas were shared about balloon alternatives.

On November 13 we were also invited by Melissa from Live Clean + Get Well With Melissa to speak at Plant4Bowden's screening of the documentary.

Again, it was another successful night with questions asked and answered and positive reactions to the film.

There are more screenings still around the country and you can find them here at this link.

Many more party stores are now banning balloon releases, which is a fabulous first step in seeing balloons taken from the shelves altogether, in the same way plastic straws are going.
